The Black Caps has been scheduled to highlight the resumption of a home season with a series against West Indies in November and the White Ferns has been planned to host England in next year’s February.
The international season in New Zealand will start out a three-match T20I series against West Indies on Nov. 27 at Eden Park. After that, the sides will play two Tests of the ICC World Test Championship.
That series then will be followed by visits from Australia, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. The series against Pakistan also features three T20Is, starting on Dec. 18. New Zealand, currently placed fourth on the points table, hopes to utilize home advantage to improve the ranks.
Meanwhile, Australia is hoped to arrive for a five-match T20I series in February and Bangladesh will take a tour to round off the men’s season in March. Although the final two tours are pending government approval, NZC CEO David White is confident of being agreed in due course.
With two ICC Men’s T20 World Cups planned in the two coming years, the schedule prioritizes the game’s shortest format. The upcoming timetable features ODI matches only against Bangladesh. The three-match series will mark the starting of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Super League of New Zealand.
